In order to support our European expansion we are looking for passionate people who want to join our team. Top of Form Bottom of Form As we currently wish to expand our software development department we have a vacancy for a SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER (m/v) Function You are part of the Test Team and responsible for the verification and validation of all MIPS IT solutions. You will conduct daily unit or integration testing as assigned by the Test Team Leader. As a Test Team member you will improve the Test Methodology via the development of specific work instructions or test tools.
Your task is to: Carry out any reasonable task assigned by the Test Team Leader Assist in the preparation of development Requirement & Specification documents Understand software development best practice and endeavour to apply it to all tasks Monitor and endeavour to improve the process of testing our target product(s) Expand your own knowledge of the product range and assist others where possible Be aware of the company’s product delivery and software development plans and your responsibilities therein Profile For the function of Software Test Engineer we look for a candidate with the following background: Able to integrate within a team of testers but also capable of working autonomous Able to translate software specifications into test plans Creative and solution oriented Communicative and team player Very disciplined and good documentation/reporting skills Knowledge of product development processes in general is an asset Stress resistant and challenged by a continuous changing environment Result oriented and flexible You have an extravert personality You understand the difference between verification and validation You can transform each problem into an opportunity with a smile Education and Experience Master or Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent through experience Experience in a software product environment Experience with LIS or LIMS is an advantage Experience with test tools and test methodologies Experience with automatic testing and setup is an asset Offer MIPS offers the opportunity to work in a growing, international and high-tech company.
