As a Demand and Supply Planner for BD Biosciences, you act as a business partner responsible for balancing the objectives of customer service levels, production efficiency and inventory levels in order to minimize the total costs and to maximize customer service consistent with the goals. Responsibilities: • You analyze and estimate the monthly product needs for Europe, Middle East and Africa for a certain product group. You base your analysis on the respective stock levels, sales opportunities and sales and marketing activities; • You prepare and participate in the consensus meetings on country and/or European level in order to understand the market demand and improve the company forecast accuracy for the assigned product group; • You ensure the budgeted inventory levels and customer service levels; • You generate requirement plans and orders to suppliers in SAP/APO, based on updated demand numbers and system settings that support the agreed supply chain strategies. You also follow up on the execution of these orders; • You maintain excellent relationships with the manufacturing sites (US & Europe), product management, European customer service and the European Distribution Center in Temse; • You report and analyze the data regarding inventory status, service levels, excess and obsolete etc.; • You support and participate in ongoing and new projects.
You have a master degree preferably in economics (or equivalent); • You have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools; • Experience in supply chain and SAP/APO is an asset; Young graduates will also be considered; • You are fluent in English and Dutch; • You have strong analytical skills and you are a problem solver with a pro-active attitude; • You are a good communicator and a strong relationship builder; • You are stress resistant, flexible and a strong team player but also capable of working independently; • You demonstrate efficiency and accuracy for the more technical part of the job.
