The tooling engineer will support the functional safety team and cross-functional teams.
The tooling engineer will help in development, evaluation and design of new methods and techniques in order to ensure efficient working (save cost) and delivering high-quality products.
The tooling engineer will assist in daily tooling issues.
The tooling engineer is responsible to learn, understand and show commitment to the Dana functional safety processes.
The tooling engineer is responsible to learn und understand system engineering.
The tooling engineer will collaborate in research projects (concerning functional safety).
The coordinator for functional safety will define the tasks to be done in the different projects.
The deliverables and the documentation created by the tooling engineer are discussed with the coordinator for functional safety and cross-functional coordinators.
The progress during the development is regularly reported to and discussed with the coordinator for functional safety.
Verwacht:
Educational Degree Required (Minimum)
Master in Engineering Mechatronics/Informatics/Electronics (Civil Engineer - University)
Work Experience: Equivalency up till 5 years would be an advantage.

has knowledge about UML or similar modeling languages
has knowledge about object oriented software development
has or will develop good project management skills
will participate in the continuous improvement of processes and procedures to develop software
has ability to deal with ambiguity and take decisions
An advantage is that the engineer
has experience in the software development for embedded mechatronic systems, more specific for automotive applications (off-highway and/or on-highway)
has experience using modeling tools such as Enterprise Architect
has experience in system engineering
The engineer can work with MS-office and an e-mail program.
