Job summary

We’re looking for a dynamic and outgoing bartender & breakfast server who will help create an unforgettable experience for our guests — whether it’s serving the first coffee of the day or the last beer at night. This is not just a bar job — it’s a social role where enthusiasm, chatty vibes, and a guest-first mindset are essential. You’ll be at the heart of the action, engaging with travelers from all over the world, promoting events, and helping increase bar revenue through genuine, fun, and professional service. A love for people, different cultures, and creating great atmospheres is a must.

Key responsibilities

Reception operations

The tasks will include but not be limited to:

• Assisting with check-in and check out
• Selling coffee, beer, wine, drinks, food and snacks – and plenty of it!
• Handle and organize big groups, help our guests to the best cafés, restaurants and bars, as well as museums, sites and shopping in the city (you’re the expert) Not a job for the passive ones...
• Follow opening, closing, and shift checklist procedures

Guest experience & social atmosphere

• Welcome every guest with warmth and high energy
• Engage in conversations, share local tips, and encourage interaction between guests
• Support the social dynamic of the hostel by creating a lively and welcoming environment
• Be an ambassador for Latroupe’s brand and vibe

Teamwork & collaboration

• Communicate clearly with the reception team and management to ensure service flows smoothly
• Help coordinate small events or social activities with the F&B team
• Stay proactive and supportive during busy periods

Requirements

• Experience in reception is MANDATORY
• Good level of spoken English and/or French
• Comfortable working flexible shifts (early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends)
• Team player with a hands-on attitude
• Legal permit to work in Belgium
