It'll keep you busy 100% of the time, you will pretty much never have downtime until the last customer leaves, and even then, they rush you to clean and get everything spik and span in an hour. Typically its one manager and one or two associates running the store, simply because they have very high expectations. This makes it hard for them to hire people in the first place
Pros
You get to know your coworkers well, ive stayed friends with them after leaving the job
Cons
Max of one 30 minute break, even for a 10+ hour shift, pressure to never call out even when sick

Everyday we are faced with a new challenge either if it’s big or small. It’s days when it’s slow and other days when it’s very busy and it gets very frustrating at times. Yet there are faces that are very encouraging who sometimes just talk to you just because and others that you just have to ignore and not let them ruin your mood or day.

Cons

It's an awful place to work. The leadership and coworkers will throw you under the bus. This is because if any complaints (internal or customer related) are made against you, you will get fired on the spot.
Pros
You get paid
Cons
Short breaks, low pay, low hours, bad benefits, bad work culture, bad leadership

Working at Aldi was NEVER what was described. Management only care about money, not about staff. Equipment is always broken, yet you're expected to perform to peak levels with substandard tools. Time given to pack shelves is equivalent to slave driving. Time given to scan at registers is even worse. Be a robot, don't engage, don't be human. Wprse place I've ever worked.
Pros
Good pay
Cons
Hours, tasks, culture

Pros

Cons

The company does not give you any flexibility or consistancy for full time employee's. You could Start as early as 5am-2pm, or as late as 1pm-11pm, on any given day. You are aloud only 1 static day off but are not aloud to choose a weekend, and they are giving you 1 weekend day off and that selection is based off of seniority and scheduling needs. meaning you will pretty much never get 2 days off in a row. Management is also not helpful if you want to step down to part time to go back to school, they told me that they did not have "any room" for any more part time positions. Mind you I also have been working there for a few years and had more seniority than 90% of the people there.
Pros
decent starting pay for the position with yearly raises
Cons
scheduling, work/life balance

● Job security and advancement
They only promote women. All assistant managers, managers, and district manager are female. They keep one man as cashier but they usually quit due to no chance for promotion due to all the 20 something girls being hired straight in as management trainees.

● Management

If your a female there are good opportunities for you. If your a male just be happy being on the bottom and keep your opinions and ideas to yourself.

● Culture

Women empowering Women!!!!

● Overall

If you are a young female there are great opportunities for advancement at Aldi. You don't need any work experience or life experience. They hire assistant managers in as young as 20 years old. They usually keep one man around out of about 7 to 10 employees but don't plan on getting a promotion here. All managers, assistant managers, and district managers are women. And the vice president of Aldi is a woman. This is a culture of women empowering women. They stick together to ensure there is always a woman in charge. there's nothing wrong with women in management but at Aldi it seems that men are not welcome.

Worked for Aldi for 10 years. I stayed because I needed benefits and the pay was very good for only having a high school diploma. However the upper management does not care for anyone’s quality of life or the moral amongst the employees. I watched many management team members and lower circulate through the doors. You are constantly worried your efficiency will not be good enough and your job is teetering on edge. Even as an employee who gave 40-50hrs a week, came in on off days, and receive multiple calls once clocked out, prior to shift and off days. The expectations are unreal, even for someone who had always held two jobs successfully.
Pros
Pay and healthcare
Cons
Unreasonable expectations and low moral

Excellent company to work for from the top to the bottom. Fast-paced, always work to be done and the definite option for progression if that’s what you desire. Only downside is that hours can be long, especially around busy times such as Christmas and you’ll work most weekends and evenings.
Pros
Paid breaks, good environment, fast paced & good hierarchy
Cons
Long hours, weekends & evenings

Dull and depressing place to work. Nobody wants to be there and constantly moan which creates a bad atmosphere. Management are completely incompetent and can’t answer the simplest of questions. They don’t seem to be accountable for anything, just blame it on someone else. Longer serving workers tend not to do any work and the management just let them get away with it.
Pros
Hourly rate

Pros
Salaire
Cons
Stress et non respect du personnel
