I worked for 3.5 years in Antwerp, Belgium, at Mannevinke and then at Rubens Nursing Home. I had to move last year to UK due some personal problemes. Working there was the best experience in my life!! I grew up so much there and I had so many supportive collegues around me, I think with nostalgia and miss them so much. The management was great, even if the situations could get very stressful at one point, and everybody knows that working in a nursing home could be very tiring and overwhelming, every and each one of the managers did an excellent job to handle the situation. The last home I've been working, Rubens, was a new bulding, luxurious, clean and the professional equipments were always at our disposition. I still regret that I haven't got the chance to say goodbay and to thank each and every one of the staff and to tell them how greatfull I am for every single day I worked there. It was fun, it was professional and most of all, we were like a family. I am from Romania, so being far from my family was hard, but being in a collective like that made it a little easyer for me. I will never forget the first day of work and all the laughts and the tears we shared there! All of us, from the kitchen staff to the management.
