Ce stage m'a permis d'apprendre beaucoup sur la gestion hôtelière au niveau comptable et organisationnel. Les membres du staff et les managers étaient le plus souvent prompt à aider et à apprendre. Néanmoins, j'ai trouvé certains comportements des managers vis à vis de leurs salariés plutôt douteux.
Cela reste quand même une expérience positive dans un cadre agréable et une culture d'équipe appréciable.

Horaire variable, il faut être flexible.
La journée commence par la routine administrative puis s'en suivent les check-out. Tout au long de la journée je répondais aux e-mails et au téléphone. Aussi, je renseignais les clients sur les infrastructures de l'hôtel ainsi que les alentours.
L'après-midi avait lieu les check-in ainsi que la préparation du lendemain.

les journées sont fortes diverse, ce qui permet de ne pas s'ennuyer. L'hostellerie est un millieu tellement vaste et varié. On peut en même temps s'occuper de clients et aider en cusine lors du service. il faut aussi bien gérer un restaurant ainsi que tout ce que les clients ne voient pas, tel : les commandes, le rangement des réserves, ... la communication est importante et même primordiale.
les collèques, managers et la direction est très à l'écoute et ne manque pas de démander l'avis à tout le monde, l'optique de l'entreprise est à mon titre je pense être la meillieur "deux têtes valent mieux qu'une". l'asprect le plus difficile du poste est sur les horaires, cars ce sont des horaires fort décallé et il ne permet pas de former une vie privée. Par contre à côté de ça, il permet de rencontrer un large horizon de cultures et de personnes différentes. En sommes ce métier permet de grandir aussi bien proffessionnellement que de manière personnelle grace à ces partage et ces rencontres.

Brussels is a great city to work in, especially for me working with all the Governments and associations establish a very great network! Radisson Blu is a fun place to work, with a young sales team all motivated and helping one another out. Set very high and ambitious targets for us to meet and exceed! Really help you develop and grow with the amount of training they have at your disposal. Quite a lot of red tape and politics though, especially being a focus hotel and the Carlson Rezidor head office being in the same city. A typical day at work would include either face to face appointments or cold calling in order to find new business opportunities. Always dealing with my clients and ensuring that their stay is a memorable one and that all is set-up well in advance. Collaborating together with the Meeting & Events sales team in order to close business opportunities at the hotel, by following up with clients, invite for site visits, presentation online or face to face at their offices. Organizing multiple FAM trips per year show casing not only the hotel but Brussels too.

Learned how to make sure the job is done properly so it meets the high standard that was requested from our housekeeping management.
Meet so many people who work on the the hotel which now are my friends.
The hardest was sometime timing that we had to finish the rooms in certain time and it all depended how the rooms where left from previous guest,sometimes we finish on time and there were days which we had to rush and extend extra 30 mins.
The most enjoyable part is when guest appreciate what you done for them and be happy with the way you worked.

This was my first experience in the hospitality sector and I have learned a lot. I have learned how to cope with stress and how to work under pressure. My co-workers were really nice and every single person learned me something. Each person had their own strenghts which they taught me.

During this internship I improved my languages as well and know how to deal with unsatisfied guest. Dealing with unsatisfied guest was most certain the hardest part of the internship.

Overall I had an instructive internship and I have expanded my network.
