can be horrible or good depending on office
Clerk (voormalige medewerker) – Sacramento, CA – 3 oktober 2018
I worked in about 7-8 different Post offices within the Sacramento district. When moving from office to office its hard to believe your working for the same organization. The Sacramento district has a difficult time maintaining adequate staffing at the busy locations due to the amount of money budgeted to them for staffing. As a result every position (clerks, carriers, mail handlers) at the busy offices are breaking their backs trying to keep up . The atmosphere is very tense. The local managers at the busy post offices are not fit for management and are stressed out and passing that stress onto the employees. I would not want to work for one of these busy offices. On the flip side a smaller office has a more relaxed vibe (depending on postmaster and other managers). It really makes night and day differences. Honestly many labor codes are violated in the busy post offices and I would never work there again, but the smaller offices are actually good jobs.
Stable once your full time
Dont work for a busy post office
