Position Purpose

Working very closely with the OTP Group Brand Manager, he or she will set direction for the full RYO portfolio within the OTP (Other Tobacco Products) category and will be responsible to grow our GFB (Global Flagship Brands) share within the category and for the stewardship of brand equity within those brands. Responsible for the following; execution of consumer and trade strategies, setting brand direction for cycle activity, monitoring investment resource allocation and KPI measuring. Providing liaison with JTI global brand mgmt, packaging/communication agencies and collaborating closely with other members of the Marketing & Sales function to ensure consistency of brand equity. Being the custodian of all RYO brand plans, activities and analysis, incl portfolio recommendations. Assisting in development of A&SP presentation. Ownership of all functional processes related to RYO brand management.


1. Drive the development of the RYO brand portfolio strategies based on HQ & Market guidelines, best practices and market dynamics in order to maximize portfolio/brand performance and ROI, portfolio optimization, monitoring and suggesting corrective actions.

2. Work in close collaboration with key stakeholders within C&TM Planning, Development and Operations as well as other relevant Internal and External Departments in order to develop and execute the cycle plans (incl POSM deployment) and ensure alignment of the brand strategies behind consumer / trade programs and activities.

3. In close liaison with Market Intelligence and the Research Group, utilize the acquired data to understand what is happening in the market, what the competition is doing, what trends are emerging in the market-place, in order to develop the most effective communication tools within the confines of legislation.

4. Responsible for the day to day management of external agencies which cover monitoring the progress of all brand projects, supervising related costs incurred, negotiating budgets and making sure that deliverables are on time.

5. Ongoing review of brand budgets to determine a) spend to plan forecast, b) relevance and effectiveness of spend to date and c) opportunities for improved efficiency / return not foreseen at the time of plan development. A formal budget update should be completed and submitted at the close of each quarter.

6. To contribute to local & global projects & initiatives as required.

Qualifications & Experience

University degree (Master)

5+ years experience in FMCG marketing & sales functions
