Representing 25% of MEU Net Revenue, the region is a major player within Europe. In France, we are leading in the categories Biscuits and Gum, while in Belgium we are uniquely positioned as we are number one in all categories present (Chocolate, Biscuits, Gum and Cheese).

The role:
The local Business Analyst Belgium, as part of an area team, is responsible for understanding and analyzing the business issues by a thorough analysis of selling-in, selling-out and retail audit data. He/she follows up on KPI’s accurately and flags loopholes if any. For these purposes, he/she takes a proactive role within the entire Sales team, to advise and support people in reaching their targets. He/she supports management concerning the business review (including the reporting of Perfect Store).

He/she will operate from the Belgian head office in Mechelen and will report to the Sales Information Manager Western Europe, based in France.

Within the Western Europe Sales System and Support Direction, in charge of the Belgian market for all categories, he/she is responsible for:

Understanding the business issues (AC, Big Bets regarding Customer, Category and Field targets)

Involvement in all relevant information sharing meetings and steering committees

In

touch with the business and economic background, to understand the impacts and risks on the target achievements.

Managing the Sales dashboards coverage and coherence

Understanding of all existing dashboards and KPI’s

I

dentification of evolution measures to improve the AC monitoring

K

eeping in close contact with the Sales System and Support team to understand, to validate and to implement existing dashboard evolutions and new dashboard creations.

Monitoring the information uniqueness for each KPI and each function

Making sure that information is unique, accessible and known by all local Sales teams

Supporting and accompanying the users in the right understanding and use of all data

Harmonizing and centralizing the data availability, to avoid duplication.

Animating the Sales KPI’s

Gap identification vs targets and forecasts (monthly reviews of all Sales KPI’s)

Close contacts with the Sales teams to determine the causes

Active contribution to the draft and implementation of sales action plans

Moderator of the Business Review within all Sales operational committees

Building the Western Europe Business Review, with his/her manager

Your profile :
Master degree in economics or similar

At least 2-3 years’ relevant experience

Very good knowledge of panel data (especially retailer panels), ideally within a market research company.

Some experience in FMCG with good knowledge of Sales is also an asset.

Very good analysis, synthesis, and sales strategic recommendation skills.

Strong autonomy and problem-solving skills.

Ideally some experience in leading a project.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, as well as ability to give presentations.

Fluent in English and Dutch. Ideally, also a good knowledge of French language.
