Full job description

The Demand Planner will have the following responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain the sales forecast database by item for a rolling 6 months horizon
  • Continuously maintain a right historical demand in collaboration with the Sales Manager in order the build a final forecast for the next months
  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
  • Interact with sales, marketing, and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers.
  • Based on your analysis of the sales vs forecasts, you advice the commercial/sales managers in order to structurally improve the forecast
  • Work with all local supply chain actors to maximize fill rate and ship on time
  • Monitor inventory and take necessary actions in coordination with sales force and factories in order to keep inventory within agreed targets
  • Challenge the forecasts for the new products and promotions with monthly follow-up on forecast accuracy and actual demand figures
  • Analyze and provide feedback on promotion activities
  • Support for monthly S&OP process meetings
  • Interface between sales and marketing
Profil recherché:
The Demand Planner has the following profile:
  • Master Degree (Business Administration, Economics, logistics, marketing...)
  • 1-3 years previous experience in forecast or a related logistics function
  • Strong knowledge of SAP
  • Analytical minded and figures oriented
  • Very good knowledge of Excel (pivot tables,...)
  • English with a good level of Dutch and (or) French
  • Good communication and team building skills
  • Detail oriented
