Nike Europe is looking for a Director in the Transportation Team. In this role you will be responsible to ensure Nike goods are delivered to our Consumers with exceptional reliability and precision. You will lead a team of experts that will specify, select and manage Outbound / Distribution Service solutions and providers across Europe with a primary focus on the Central and Eastern European Region. You will be a member of the General European Logistics Campus and of the Functional Transportation and Customs Management Teams.

READY? · Leads the Outbound Transportation Team for CEE and Distribution Services: establishes a diverse network of colleagues and resources required to gather data and move concepts forward – connects people in productive ways.
  • Defines and implements Strategy for Logistics Services in CEE and in general 3PL Distribution.
  • Delivers high service levels of performance from the service providers.
  • Managing budget (approximately $50M) and expenditure to provide predictable and cost effective services.
  • Defines and implements structural business continuity solution for Nike Logistics EU.
  • Provides Nike consumers with the high reliable and compliant delivery; ensures that business strategies add value for consumers and customers and mobilizes resources to meet their needs.
  • Develops and maintains network relationships across vendors and the Nike organization to ensure alignment on processes, platforms and vendor management.
  • Demo nstrates the ability to make tough decisions and take calculated risks.
  • Effectively manages business change and transition including implications to systems, people, process and structure.

  • Experience: MBA or university degree plus a minimum of 5-8 years of experience, of which minimum 5 years in a managerial role. In the absence of a degree, 7-10 years of relevant experience.
  • You will have built and lead teams of supply chain professionals and have a passion for team values and people development.
  • Experience of Supply Chain management in either FMCG, or Retail/Fashion or at a Logistics service provider.
  • Budget setting and financial control expertise.
  • You will probably have worked in Global multi-cultural, matrix organizations.
  • Proven experience in Project and Change Management.
  • Excellent English skills: confident and articulate in all types of internal, external, formal and informal communications.
  • Up-to-date PC skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
  • Variable travel, up to 25%.
