Preferred qualifications:
  • Demonstrated compliance and/or internal control experience in a global healthcare or fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) organisation, or a consultancy firm supporting relevant clients
  • Practical experience in the application of risk management in an R&D or manufacturing environment, including risk identification, assessment, analysis and treatment
  • Preferably skilled in the development, implementation and oversight of crisis and continuity plans
The Director, CCM will play a key role in the management and oversight of Crisis and Continuity Management within GSK Vaccines. The Director, CCM will ensure the appropriate strategy, processes, roles and responsibilities, tools and templates are in place to deliver compliance.

The role requires an understanding of business strategy in order to provide appropriate advice and direction to all parts of the business. The scope is broad, covering all of the Vaccines organisational units, products and processes. Activities include; coordinating and enterprise-wide approach to Crisis and Continuity Management, conducting gap analyses against company policies and expectations, developing appropriate action plans with business partners, providing oversight to ensure action plans are delivered, and developing/ providing training as required.

  • Acting as the Risk Owner/Coordinator, contact person and subject matter expert for Crisis and Continuity Management within GSK Vaccines; developing and maintaining an appropriate strategy for the business
  • Enhancing the Vaccines Crisis and Continuity Management processes, supporting guidance documents and templates, to deliver on-going compliance with GSK policy requirements
  • Leading cross-departmental teams to ensure implementation, sustainability and continuous improvement of the processes supporting Crisis and Continuity Management
  • Developing a RACI for CCM ensuring clarity of accountabilities, roles and responsibilities within GSK Vaccines
  • Working with the business to ensure appropriate crisis and continuity plans are in place for GSK Vaccines facilities, and essential business processes; monitoring to ensure that these are kept up to date and exercised routinely
  • Establishing and implementing a Level 2 monitoring framework for Crisis and Continuity Management with appropriate governance and oversight
  • Preparing periodic updates to key stakeholders, including the CCM Centre of Excellence, and ensuring operational issues are escalated for timely resolution
