Job purpose

As part of the Benelux Sales Team which is divided up into three sales channels to better handle the Benelux market, the Key Account Manager Retail will be responsible for a few "key" customers in the Mass Market channel in Belgium and Luxemburg.
On the job as the Key Account Manager Retail, you will work with the Head of KAM to develop the business strategy for your accounts with the aim of achieving sustainable growth of profits and you will be responsible for implementing that strategy:
  • You will develop and maintain close relations with the customer and will further expand the network for the account in question to find further sales opportunities and thus ensure optimal distribution of the portfolio of GSK brands (Oral Care and Wellness/OTC) in all stores.
  • You will be in an optimal position to influence both internal and external stakeholders (including the Lead Category Managers, Category Development, Supply Chain), maximise sales through events, NPD and various other account-specific initiatives. You will receive support from an external service for these activities.
  • You understand the key drivers of sales, profits and market share like no one else.
  • You will develop plans and frameworks for negotiations that you will lead persuasively and respectfully.
  • You will analyse the figures (including AC Nielsen, GFK) for the various accounts, markets and competitors in order to identify opportunities and draw up forecasts.
  • You will work internally in close collaboration with the other members of the Sales Team as well as with Marketing, Customer Shopper Marketing, Finance, Merchandising, and Activation, and as part of a few international project teams.
The position is based in Wavre, Belgium. This is a full-time position.
