Together with our client, a globally known pharmaceutical company, we are looking for a National Account Manager Consumer Healthcare Retail.

Our Client is the Worldwide leading Consumer Healthcare Company with the specific focus and mission to
develop and market innovative OTC and consumer healthcare products and services.

In this position you manage our strategic retail customers in order to drive topline growth, account
contribution and market share of our brands in the retail channel.
The position reports to the Commercial Director Benelux, and coaches a team of Key Account Managers, Sales Assistants and an externalized Field Force.

Key duties & responsibilities
  • In close collaboration with the Customer Shopper and Brand Activation Teams, you develop the
right strategy and tactics to drive our brands and grow the category at our customers. You ensure flawless
excellence in execution in order to reach brand, category and customer objectives.
  • You are in charge of the yearly negotiations and translate these in adequate promotional plans,
within a framework of the agreed trade investments.
  • You co‐define the trade policy and manage the impact of the trade legal framework.
  • You lead, coach, motivate your team in order to drive continuous people development and to
optimize our meeting platforms.
  • For this position strong financial/analytical skills , excellent negotiation
competences, stakeholder management and cross departmental collaboration
(demand planning, sales controlling, customer Service ) are a pre‐requisite.
  • You are the liaison to the International Key Account Team for global customers.

  • 8‐12 years of experience in FMCG branded consumer goods environment is a must!
  • Strong negotiation, sales and/or category management experience.
  • You have an in depth understanding of the Belgian retail environment and have managed one of
the top 3 Accounts.
  • A first experience in managing a small team is a pre.
  • Strong communication and high level negation skills – bilingual (NL/FR)
  • Result driven , agile, dynamic with a strong business acumen.
  • Team empowerment ‐ ability to develop people and team dynamics.
  • Able to grow to the next level, and open for cross sector opportunities at our client
