Responsibilities :
This function provides process engineering leadership at local plant level (Oevel) for driving new formula introduction and changes for creams and make up into the supply chain. This includes high level technical guidance on process design and improvement, collaborating with a global network of R&D experts.

A key part of this role is to enable and further develop the Company’s Excellence in Execution for batch manufacturing capability within the Oevel plant and identify strategic opportunities for supply chain value creation.

This role also includes championing the need for new processing equipment where necessary and then leading the implementation accordingly (in conjunction with site engineering function).

Helps to define the success criteria required (process and equipment) for successful start-up and ongoing production.

Work hand in hand with the Research and Development Centre colleagues in North America and Asia to develop an understanding of related new manufacturing processes.

Acts as a liaison between the local production organization and R&D Centre.

Qualify and implement savings and efficiency projects e.g. raw material simplification and standardisation, process optimisation, use of alternative vessels, using appropriate qualification systems, success criteria and documentation.

Facilitates cross plant knowledge sharing and problem solving.

Helps to define and deploy process training programmes to compounders.

Profile:
Minimum 5 years comprehensive experience in deployment of new product innovation and/or process optimization within the FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) industry, and preferably within the Cosmetics industry

Minimum master degree in Chemical Engineering or relevant experience in Chemical Engineering.

Strong leadership and collaboration skills. Be able to effectively engage with other functions in and outside the plant and be comfortable reporting to dual line managers within a matrixed organisation.

Experience in people management and coaching skills.

Good analytical / problem solving skills.

Hands on and strong observation skills

Manage efficient workload and priorities.

Be able to work independently

Strong communication skills.

Fluent in English and Dutch.

Travel requirement is 10%.
