As a Sales Manager you are partly responsible for the commercial success of the company in Belgium & Luxembourg.
You manage your existing customers, you extend the relation with them and you will actively look for new (strategic) opportunities. This all supported by the company's concept. We expect active selling in the territory, together with the willingness to travel regularly.

Responsibilities and accountabilities
  • Preparation, supervision, executing and monitoring of sales plans in co-operation with the Senior Sales Manager;
  • Expand distribution and generate new turnover at existing and new customers according to the sales plan;
  • Visit existing customers and prospects;
  • Further professionalize and intensify your relation with the customers;
  • Responsible for the preparation and control of the sales conditions within the given frames;
  • Follow and analyze trends, market developments and customer information and convert this into strategically and concrete actions;
  • Develop Category management in close consultation with your customer;
  • Supervise and train agents and distributors;
  • Organize and lead meetings and trainings;
  • Attend house shows and national and international trade shows;
  • Supervise, train and guide (junior) Sales Representatives and (junior) Account Managers;
  • Hold, within the framework of the HR-cycle the yearly plannings-, progress- and evaluation interviews;
  • Work according to the company's concept and conditions;
  • Contribute to a positive image through a professional and personal company- and product presentation;
  • Responsible for adhering to the quality and OH&S requirements;

Skills and knowledge
Bachelor or master degree; Minimum 7 years successful sales experience within the international distribution (BtB retail industry) for a big FMCG organization; Extensive knowledge on the Belgian retail market and the Belgian business culture Minimum 3 years of management experience, possesses management qualities; Expert on category management; Strong network within the potential customer group; Good written en spoken command of English, Dutch and French at level C1 is a must; Stationed in Belgium; Experience in Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint; Description libre :
Must be willing to travel to the head office in the Netherlands at least two days a month.
