Role and responsibilities

You’ll join our Customer Support (CS) department, specifically within a team focused on maintaining a wide variety of our systems. You’ll do so at Imec, a leading research and innovation hub in nanoelectronics and digital technologies. You’ll be part of a team that thrives on collaboration, bringing together professionals with varied backgrounds and expertise to deliver world-class support and solving technical challenges in real time. In this role, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and troubleshooting ASML’s advanced equipment to ensure continuous uptime and efficiency.

As a field service engineer, you’ll:

• Gather essential insights, assess complex situations, and implement creative solutions guided by a supportive and experienced team
• Perform both preventative maintenance as well as solution actions to ensure equipment reliability and uptime
• Coordinate and secure resources to ensure all tools and materials are readily available when needed
• Document and report technical activities to ensure effectiveness and foster a culture of continuous improvement
• Follow a tailored program and collaborate with various colleagues to enhance your skills and knowledge

Education and experience

• Bachelor’s degree preferably (but not exclusively) in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, automotive, electronics, physics, mechatronics
• You completed your education less than 2 years ago or will be fully graduated before March 2025
• Maximum 2 years of relevant working experience

If so, you’ll be offered a full-time position, a competitive salary, a 1-year contract with the intention of getting an indefinite afterwards, a meal allowance, a car commuting allowance to help cover transportation costs, (international) training, and more.
